Mother Earth Brewing (MEB) in Kinston, recently installed a Verderflex smart pump for transferring yeast.
Originally the brewery was using pressure tanks to transfer their yeast harvest. This was a very lengthy process and costly because of the CO2. The brewery had very complicated procedures in place before this set up.

Installing these pumps has resulted in a dramatic reduction in man hours for the yeast harvest which can now be dedicated to other responsibilities. Additionally there are fewer hours required for set-up time as well as clean-up, as the tubing is the only thing to come in contact with the pumped fluid and can be replaced in a matter of minutes.
